Home made car built by Mr Everitt part one
The photograph represents a very ingenious home made two seater car built entirely by its owner Mr E Everitt.a cabinet maker of Wilburton . The engine a 3.5 H.P Brown and a carburetter were his sole purchases. The frame is ash wood. The wheels are slightly bigger than a bycicle ,having done service on an old tandem bycicle. The diferential is one of the most ingenious of his devices; This difficulity was overcome by utilising the two wheels off a lawn mowing machine, which are fixed at the back end of the back axle, thus forming a working differential. The is belt driven .The large back pulley is wooden and comes off an old drum of a thrashing machine; the front pulley is also wooden
